As an independent insurance broker based in Berlin but reachable worldwide, I bring more than 30 years of experience in insurance, finance and event cover. Havel Spree Finanz has existed since 1996, and the brokerage has been independent since 2012.
My specialisation is people with an international connection – foreigners in Germany and Germans abroad. That is not a side segment but the core of the work: this is precisely where standard solutions fail, because residence, social insurance status and immigration law interlock.

Personal contact matters to me precisely because, in an emergency, there is usually nobody on the ground to ask. Advice is available in German and English.

Yes. Advice, documents and support in a claim are available in German and English. Many of the international providers we broker also make their contract documents and customer service available in English.
No. Support is fully digital – by video call, phone or WhatsApp. A large share of our clients live permanently outside Germany and have never been to the office.
The consultation is free for you. We are remunerated by commissions from the insurance companies as part of the brokerage, and the premiums are the same as if you signed up directly. Details are in our initial information.
As an insurance broker under §§ 93 ff. of the German Commercial Code, I work on behalf of my clients and not on behalf of an insurance company. There are no sales targets for individual providers, so a recommendation has to be justified on the merits.
